Lucifer's Mansion, Sunday Night

Date Nights had a certain structure to them, born mainly of habit. But that didn't mean they needed to keep to it.

In fact, the second Lucifer had received Octavia's text, he'd mentally overhauled all of the night's plans and picked up a few munchies and sodas. Dug up some of his excess pillows, and littered them along the living room.

He had-- multiple stashes. After a moment's thought as to what type of... relaxation would be best for the night, Lucifer went digging around for a particular one. Waiting, as he was doing so, for Octavia.

"Very good," Lucifer praised, a bit too loudly. "... Ooh I should set this down before I try carrying you again..."

And he wandered off towards the sofa with his drink.

"You're leaving me here? On my own?"

Rude!

"I'm coming back!" Lucifer protested, as he set his glass down on the coffee table. "Hold-- hold on."

He knocked one of the bags of snacks off of the table on his hurrying way back to the kitchen.

He got back just in time for Octavia trying to sit up on the counter. It was not the most graceful affair it could have been.

Actually, it was kind of a struggle.

"Oh, oh, careful," Lucifer said, and laughed, inappropriately, as his hands came up to steady her.

[okteiviakom]

"I was being careful," Octavia objected, even though she had just narrowly avoided splashing her drink onto herself.

[my_own_advocate]

"I don't think so," Lucifer hummed, "Come, let's go."

He tried to lift her again.

This time, Octavia held on to her drink for dear life.

She let him grab her, though.

"Thaaaat's a good girl," Lucifer laughed, carrying her back into the living room.

[okteiviakom]

"Oh, this is not a 'good girl' kind of moment," Octavia objected. Very seriously.

... Okay, not very.

[my_own_advocate]

"But what if I want it to be a 'good girl' kind of moment," Lucifer laughed, approaching the sofa. "Mm. Good girl."

[okteiviakom]

"I don't think you decide that."

Said the woman currently being carried around like a doll.

[my_own_advocate]

"Oh, but I do," Lucifer said, smirking.

He... dropped himself back onto the sofa, arse-first, her still in hsi arms.

Octavia made a soft 'oof' noise at being jostled again, then a very belated alarmed noise at whether her drink was okay.

(It was.)

"See," Lucifer sighed. "You're good."

[okteiviakom]

Octavia responded by taking a loud sip from her glass.

It was deeply ridiculous.

Lucifer burst out laughing again. "See?!"

[okteiviakom]

"Proves nothing," Octavia told him.

The next sip was slightly more normal.

"Eeeeverything," Lucifer cooed. "Everything."

[okteiviakom]

Octavia scoffed, though thankfully not right into her drink.

"Well, you're not being a very good Devil right now," she drawled.

[my_own_advocate]

"Should I be?" Lucifer wondered. "Usually you let me know when I should."

[okteiviakom]

"I didn't let you know you should be good girling me, either," Octavia retorted. "So -- check mate."

Or something.

[my_own_advocate]

"I feel that one's a bit my choice too," Lucifer sighed.

"Is it, though?"

[my_own_advocate]

"I thought so," Lucifer mused. "Hmmmm."

Maybe he was wrong?
