Seivarden's wardrobe was a disgrace, frankly. Not because it was terrible, mind you, but because she clearly needed an upgrade, and Lucifer was in a giving mood.
(Lucifer was five minutes from wandering into the local police station to offer his services. This was probably a better outlet for the nagging desire to be kind and useful to something or someone.)
They arrived by portal midway into the morning, stepping out into the Manhattan streets. It was cold, but not debilitatingly so, with a sprinkle of snow coming down from the heavens. The kind of moment an angel... ... could really miss Los Angeles, actually.
[[ for that Radchaai, and with some ocd ]]

While Seivarden understood that Lucifer didn't appreciate his family much, she didn't want to overdo it. There was a difference when someone else insulted your siblings after all.

Re: An Interruption
Date: 18 Jan 2020 14:56 (UTC)Seivarden looked at Lucifer, then back at his sister, taking a step towards her.
Then the wings appeared.
"What?!" She was still angry but now also confused about how to act.
Re: An Interruption
Date: 18 Jan 2020 15:00 (UTC)--she yanked them back in in an instant. "Right, I forgot," she said.
"Yes, you've clearly not been here in some time," Lucifer said sharply, stepping back. "As for Seivarden, she is entirely her own human. Show a little respect."
Re: An Interruption
Date: 18 Jan 2020 15:02 (UTC)With a sigh, Amenadiel put a hand on her arm. "Remy," he said. "Lucifer's right. Humans are actually not that bad."
Remiel gave him a sharp look. "You are the one who taught me that they were beneath us, brother."
Re: An Interruption
Date: 18 Jan 2020 15:23 (UTC)She ignored that Amenadiel had actually supported Lucifer, because clearly it had been a recent change of heart.
"Oh, and I don't have a baby with him so go somewhere else and look for the poor thing."
Re: An Interruption
Date: 18 Jan 2020 15:30 (UTC)His eyes flicked to Amenadiel's in a silent we'll talk about this. Possibly also a if you endangered Linda... along the way.

Re: An Interruption
Date: 18 Jan 2020 15:33 (UTC)"Remy," Amenadiel said carefully, his eyes flicking from Lucifer to her and back. "Let's look elsewhere together. We can make it a hunt, like old times. You said the baby was somewhere in New York..."
"Yes," she said, taking a step back, eyes narrowed. "But if we find out Lucifer is involved--"
"Then I'm sure we'll be able to find Lucy again," Amenadiel said gently. "C'mon."
He pulled on her arm. She went with.
Re: An Interruption
Date: 18 Jan 2020 15:41 (UTC)On the other hand, this was Seivarden
"Is everyone on your family like that?" she asked as she watched them leave.
And: "They call you Lucy?"
And, turning her head to look at him: "Is that what your wings look like?"
Re: An Interruption
Date: 18 Jan 2020 15:44 (UTC)"Not everyone," he said finally, tucking the phone into his pocket. "And no. Mine are white."

Date: 18 Jan 2020 15:53 (UTC)There was actual concern on his face.
Re: An Interruption
Date: 18 Jan 2020 15:57 (UTC)She really didn't want to end this trip, but if a niece needed rescuing from a crazy aunt that was more important.
Despite not being very perceptive, it was still obvious from the look on Lucifer's face that it was important.
Re: An Interruption
Date: 18 Jan 2020 16:00 (UTC)He took a deep breath.
"No," he said. "Amenadiel will deal with this, and the mother is leaving town as fast as she possibly can."
His mouth flashed a tired grin in Seivarden's direction. "Sorry about all the family drama, darling."
Re: An Interruption
Date: 18 Jan 2020 16:06 (UTC)She wrinkled her nose. "Actually, that 'your human' was new. What was that about?"
Re: An Interruption
Date: 18 Jan 2020 16:09 (UTC)Back into his pocket went the phone. He managed a slight smile for Seivarden, turning his head. "So clearly, you can't be here of your own free will."
Re: An Interruption

"Can you do that with your wings too?"
