It was a nice, bright morning in Los Angeles, just a few days before Lucifer's self-imposed ultimatum about leaving ended. He remained on a quest to apologize for his therapist-inflicted overthinking and subsequent attempts to break up with Duke and Octavia, and so, today...
...Today it was time to spoil Octavia with a visit to the Aquarium of the Pacific.
He hummed brightly to himself as he paid for their tickets, then slid past the nice cashier and into the aquarium properly.
[[ for two, and some ocd. everything taken and adapted from Lucifer episode 5x14, 'Nothing Lasts Forever'. ]]

An angel in a flowing blue robe pushed her way between them, the sun shining off of her necklace of metal feathers. "Archangels, assemble!" she enthused, in roughly the same tone of voice, raised her fists, then slammed one fist into her palm. She slowed down only about a tenth of a second more per word as she continued, "Azrael says hi, wishes she could be here, but you know, no rest for the Angel of Death..."

Date: 10 Aug 2021 18:08 (UTC)Did she already know that? How much did the angels know about Lucifer's partners? Or life on Earth generally?

Date: 10 Aug 2021 19:21 (UTC)"Who told you that?" Lucifer interrupted flatly.
"Michael," Gabriel chirped. "At first we were like, 'What? No way!' But then we heard that Dad was making people sing, turned himself mortal, lost his powers, exploded a human..."
"He put the human back together again," Lucifer said, interrupting her again, this time sharply.

Date: 10 Aug 2021 19:40 (UTC)They barely had the chance to get a glimpse of Remiel - a stoic, dark-haired woman with a spear, wielding in hunter's leathers - before he had grabbed her into a bear hug.
"Good to see you," Remiel beamed.
Re: A Park Somehow Devoid of Humans, Yet Still in Los Angeles, Noon
Date: 10 Aug 2021 19:55 (UTC)He leaned towards Lucifer.
"Remiel is the angel of . . . ?"
Re: A Park Somehow Devoid of Humans, Yet Still in Los Angeles, Noon
Date: 10 Aug 2021 20:00 (UTC)Not her face, obviously. But the way she was dressed. The little glimpse Octavia had seen of how she carried herself.
Octavia... maybe 'approved' was a good word for it?

He huffed. "Nothing," he said. "Right."
As Remiel walked away, he shot Duke and Octavia a look of minor betrayal.
