Lucifer's Mansion, Sunday Night

There were plans to open the club - finally - and plans to go to Austria for a few days to see an opera - exciting - and Octavia had been doing better recently, so... Lucifer was in a good mood, actually, when Sunday came around.

So yes, the candles were out again tonight. And a rather imposing spread of seafood, picked up from the mainland. With mango rice, of course.

It was Octavia. Couldn't do without the mango rice.

"How do you feel about the snapper?"

"I know," Octavia murmured as she did the same.

Lucifer expelled a sigh. He began to sway, just a little bit, his arms still wrapped around her tight.

After a moment of that, Octavia hummed something. Not really a song, just... a random hum that sounded like it could have been something.

She swayed softly with him.

"What's that?" Lucifer breathed.

[okteiviakom]

"It's..."

She hesitated as she thought about it. Actually thought about it, instead of just humming what came to her.

"Just a song."

[my_own_advocate]

"All right," Lucifer said, mouth curved gently. "As long as it makes you happy."

[okteiviakom]

"It was just a hum," Octavia murmured.

Not so much a question of happiness, either way.

"You know what I mean," Lucifer said, soft, teasing.

[okteiviakom]

"Do I?" Octavia murmured, nuzzling at his chest.

[my_own_advocate]

"You wanted to hum that song," Lucifer murmured. "And I won't press you further."

[okteiviakom]

Octavia hummed - ironic - a soft 'mm'.

And settled more against his chest with a sigh.

Lucifer-- settled back into the moment. Her skin against his. Her breathing. The water coming down on them both.

Beautiful.

It was peaceful. And comforting. And those were probably the two things Octavia needed most, right now.

They could stay just like this for at least a while longer.
