Lucifer's Mansion, Sunday Night

Not sleeping with Octavia for two days had seemed like a tolerable proposition after the initial suggestion of five entire days (oh lord). In practice, though, it was its own form of Hell.

So there had definitely been a bit of fumbling with the keys (and the take-out). And a bit of... rushing through the food part.

"We certainly ordered too much rice," he said, only halfway through his pad thai (sigh). "Who knew such a thing was possible."

"Someone with no choice but to focus on me." It was quite the same thing. Close, though. "Well, not someone. It makes a difference that it's you."

"Glad to matter," Lucifer teased, pressing his face into her hair. He took a deep breath.

"You do," she whispered, pressing a haphazard kiss to his temple.

"I do desperately want to have sex with you again tonight," Lucifer murmured, "On a more even keel."

"Desperately, hmm?"

[my_own_advocate]

"Yes," Lucifer said, and kissed her mouth again. "Remember when we did it on your boat, the other week?"

"Think I could forget?" Octavia murmured.

[my_own_advocate]

"That felt good," Lucifer said softly. "Being close to you."

[okteiviakom]

"It did," Octavia agreed. "Always does."

[my_own_advocate]

"I'd like to do that again tonight," Lucifer said. "As a bit of a chaser to earlier."

Octavia pressed a kiss to one side of his lips. "Are you looking to feel connected?" she murmured.

"Perhaps," Lucifer said quietly.

[okteiviakom]

"Then perhaps you'll get it."

That was soft, like the peck of a kiss that followed.

"So kind to me," Lucifer said, eyes closing.

"Already got my fill of cruelty for tonight."

Something else would be nice.

"And beautifully so," Lucifer said, smiling. "So many sides of you to explore in one night. Nakedly."

"Well, we've already got that part down."

[my_own_advocate]

"And it feels quite nice, I have to say," Lucifer mused. "All your pretty skin and delightful tattoos..."

"Delightful, are they?" Octavia rasped, quietly. "Good."

Because there would be more, eventually.

"They are," Lucifer said, bringing up his finger to trace a line on her shoulder. "They fit you so well."

[okteiviakom]

"They're supposed to," Octavia agreed, glancing down at her shoulder. "They mean things, they're... mine."

For lack of a better word.

"What do the ones mean you got before you were-- here?" Lucifer asked, tracing that line with his finger.

[okteiviakom]

"It's all just one piece," Octavia said, her gaze lingering on what little she could see of the lines. "I think I've told you before that it's... Lincoln designed it. And then I had it done here, in town, from memory."

Felt like a lifetime ago.

"We added a little to it on the Ground." Some of the lines that went to the back of her shoulder.

"You did tell me a bit," Lucifer admitted. "But I still like hearing about it. What did you add?"

Octavia shifted a little, but soon found that showing him the back of her shoulder would mean pulling away from him, and, no thank you.

"Goes further back, now," she said, instead. "And some of the other lines are longer. We just... we made it look more like what he'd wanted it to be."
