Epic Boracay, Saturday Night

The rest of Team Fandom might have left for home, but Lucifer had tacked on another night, booking a room in an expensive hotel in the area. They could go home tomorrow, obviously.

No, tonight was there for one last wonderful, utterly distracting party - and so he strode into club Epic Boracay with a broad grin and Seivarden by his side. "A restaurant and a beach party bar in one? Be still my heart," he said, straightening his suit jacket. "Oh, I'll bet they have a few Brittanies around here."

"Brittanies?" Seivarden asked, following Lucifer.

"Very attractive young women who want to sleep with us," Lucifer specified. "Often found in packs."

"Oh," Seivarden said. "That sounds fun. There are Radchaai equivalents, sort of."

It wasn't like she didn't usually get that kind of attention at home, especially when people knew how she was.

"Well, they do tend to congregate at these kinds of parties," Lucifer said. "Do let me know if you see anybody you like."

The typical Brittany wasn't really Seivarden's taste, but it depended on the company, didn't it.

"Let's get a drink first."

"Fair enough," Lucifer said. "And we should probably eat, as well."

"I'm starving," Seivarden said.

She nudged Lucifer and nodded in the direction of a person with very nice biceps. 'He' was probably the right pronoun, going by the 'look for the boobs' method.

"Not a Brittany, but variety is the spice of life," Lucifer said, looking that way. "Want to go say hi now, or wait until we fill another gaping void?"

... Lucifer.

Seivarden snorted, then leaned in to kiss Lucifer.

He had been the one to bring up gaping voids.

Lucifer cupped the back of Seivarden's head and kissed her back enthusiastically.

"I've been getting the impression that this is a very easy way to attract other people," Seivarden grinned as she pulled back a little. "But let's get something to eat."

"Don't want to have a foursome on an empty stomach," Lucifer agreed, idly adjusting his jacket before he turned towards the restaurant area.

"Of course not," Seivarden grinned, following him. "So, that's the plan?"

She didn't sound as if she objected.

A text arrived at some point in the evening. It was nothing but a photo: the moon reflecting off open water, somewhere off the eastern coast. There was no caption to offer any sort of context about why Octavia had taken it nor - perhaps more importantly - why she was sending it.

Sometimes she did this with people she felt attached to. Welcome to the club, Lucy.

And there Lucifer was, talking to an attractive woman when his phone made a noise. He withdrew it from his pocket and frowned.

Then his mouth curved.

Enjoying the quiet? he texted back.

She wasn't sure which day the school trip ended to begin with, so it was a lucky guess.

Well, I'm currently speaking to a very nice young woman called Brittany, Lucifer texted merrily. Also, it turns out Seivarden is hilarious when she's hungover.

Octavia was sure the feeling was mutual, though. (Actually, she assumed no one ever found her hilarious.)

Knocked over her water and demanded room service. And this after I had to carry her home, Lucifer texted.

Octavia huffed quietly too herself.

She got into a drinking contest with jello shots in the room, I think you can do the math.

Well at least she had good taste

Shut up, Octavia had several fond memories to do with jello shots.

But those things are untrustworthy

... That was one way to put it, sure.

She insists she hates them, and yet.

Lucifer grinned at Brittany. "Sorry, darling, I haven't forgotten about you," he said. "You were telling me all about your business venture...?"

Well there's her first mistake, you're supposed to embrace them and accept they'll hurt you in the morning

In other hands, that would've been such a good metaphor for something else.

Lucifer glanced back at his phone and pulled a face. Might want to bring that with less of an 'ill-advised desperate hook-up' vibe, dear Octavia.

Said the guy currently cruising for a foursome or more, but, eh.
