Life in the Bahamas continued at its calm, relaxing pace for days. Lucifer had put the pills away, lest he scare his partners again, but that had also left him restless.
He spent a lot of time in the water, and at the bar, and coming up with weird beachside games for the other denizens of the marina-- getting their attention on him. He needed to keep himself from freaking out somehow-- though the worst had quieted down since their confrontation at the start of the week.
And yet. He was still. Restless.
As the sun began to set, he found himself on the beach, wearing just a nice white shirt and tan trousers to avoid the worst of the heat. Walking, or wandering-- until his eyes fell on a singular, familiar figure sitting in the sand.
"Duke?"
