Lucifer's Mansion, Sunday Night

It had certainly been a complicated week, hadn't it? Luckily, it had ended before the weekend, and Lucifer, Duke and Octavia had had all Saturday to recover.

That didn't mean Lucifer hadn't been slightly surprised that Octavia was still game for date night. But he had grasped it with every bit of enthusiasm he could foster. And yes, that did mean dinner had featured a genuinely ridiculous amount of tropical fruit.

"Suppose I should've put a protein in there," he mused, settling back and eyeing his empty dessert bowl with satisfaction.

"You like a challenge," Octavia murmured, in soft retort.

"I do," Lucifer allowed. Those firm thumbs pressed up, along her shoulderblades. He felt an impulse. Considered it.

Octavia considered nothing, just... Felt. Both his hands and the water.

He gave in, gripping her hips, tugging her onto his lap. Not for nefariously sexual reasons, just...

Some desire to hold her just like that, not quite affectionate, but intimate, with a hint of control.

So that was a jolt. Physically, yes, but not just in that way.

Octavia gasped.

Didn't fight it.

"I'm still working on you," Lucifer promised, voice soft.

His hands worked their way up her sides, rubbing and pressing.

Octavia swallowed. She wasn't sure why.

"Okay."

That was soft, too. And small.

His hands landed on her shoulders. Lucifer's thumbs dug down again, rubbing firm circles without any hint of his early gentleness. "You're too tense," he said, less teasing observation now, more -- admonishment? A problem that needed to be fixed, regardless of her wishes.

And what was Octavia to do in the face of that tone, except nod?

(And shiver.)

"Yeah."

"Do you think that's acceptable?," Lucifer asked, hands kneading. "You're in a hot tub."

And a shake of her head, this time.

"But I can't help it."

[my_own_advocate]

"Really," Lucifer breathed. "You're that helpless?"

His hands slid forward, across her breasts. Not a caress; his touch remained firm.

Octavia's breath hitched a little, all the same.

"Sometimes."

[my_own_advocate]

"Sad," Lucifer sighed.

His mouth hovered by her ear.

"Suppose I'll just have to make you, then..."

His hands slid lower.

"How?" Octavia heard herself breathe.

Not because she didn't have guesses. Because his mouth was so close to her ear and when he spoke, she could feel it.

"I'm going to play you like an instrument, darling." His fingers slid down her belly. "And you will sit here prettily and let me."

"Well," Octavia said, her mouth feeling dry all of a sudden. "You like a challenge."

(She'd said that already, hadn't she?)

He wouldn't point that out.

Especially not now, as Lucifer slid his fingers between her legs, over sensitive skin, and rubbed her firmly without hesitation or preamble.

Octavia made another helpless noise. It was too -- direct, too fast. Not entirely comfortable.

And yet no actual objection came.

"That's it," Lucifer murmured. He lingered for a moment longer, and then... let his fingers slip further down, tracing her folds under the water. "You just sit there."

"Don't have a choice," Octavia muttered.

Which one of them was she saying that to? Either. Both.

"No," Lucifer agreed.

His hands settled on her thighs, and-- squeezed. Not quite hard enough to bruise, but close enough to flirt with the risk.

"You're helpless."

It felt unfamiliar, under the water.

Octavia's posture went a little straighter with her inhale. Her hands closed and opened uselessly, helplessly, at her sides.

Lucifer's hands slid up a bit, resting on her waist. His thumbs-- dug into the muscle of her back, trying to force it to yield. To do as he wanted.

Took some effort.

But it began to work again, slowly but surely, with a muted sigh from Octavia.
