Lucifer's Mansion, Sunday Night

Not sleeping with Octavia for two days had seemed like a tolerable proposition after the initial suggestion of five entire days (oh lord). In practice, though, it was its own form of Hell.

So there had definitely been a bit of fumbling with the keys (and the take-out). And a bit of... rushing through the food part.

"We certainly ordered too much rice," he said, only halfway through his pad thai (sigh). "Who knew such a thing was possible."

"Good," Lucifer breathed, in a tone that may as well have voiced thank God, and leaned in to kiss her.

Not only did Octavia lean up to meet him, she also tugged him in closer, putting herself between him and the counter.

Hello, Lucifer.

Hello, Octavia.

His enthusiasm, repressed as it had been for some time, was readily obvious against her as he slid his hand into her hair and kissed her thoroughly. Lucifer pressed her further into the counter, and, mmm.

He'd missed those curves.

The curves were very happy that he was getting reacquainted with them now.

Octavia made a pleased noise in the back of her throat as she slid her arms over his shoulders.

"May I carry you upstairs?" Lucifer murmured against her mouth, before kissing her again.

What? You didn't think he'd be wasting any more time to get them to-- their-- space, did you?

Octavia was already halfway to climbing all over him as it was, so --

"Yes," she said, breathless, somewhere in the middle of all the kissing.

The request may have been inspired by her, yes. Lucifer scooped her up into his arms with a smile - the last two days had been awful, but there was something to be said for the rush of interest and affection that tore through him now, that showed on his face.

"Rules like that one time, I think," he murmured, swooping towards the stairs with her in his arms. "When the door closes, it's your game."

See, Lucifer? See what she'd been trying to do when she'd brought that up?

Octavia was meeting his affection with something much sharper. (On teh surface. The affection was always there.)

"Works for me," she rasped.

"Good," Lucifer said. He swayed at the edge of the stairs, taking a moment to kiss her again. CLumsier now, due to the angle, but with every bit of promise he could muster.

He carried her up the stairs.

Octavia... nipped at his bottom lip like the menace she was.

If it was a little sharper in places, well, you try doing that while being carried up the stairs. No other reason, honest.

Hm-hm. Lucifer let out an appreciative gasp as he wrenched himself away from her biting mouth and focused on getting her upstairs as quickly as possible.

It was very, very important.

(Even if he knew he was giving up any and all control about whether he, ahem, got what he needed at the door. It didn't matter. Those circumstances were different.)

"Oh, I love you," he sighed, for no real reason, really, as he stepped through the doorway and kicked the door shut behind him without a second thought.

The sound of the door sent a shiver down Octavia's spine.

"I know," she said, with that same low rasp from before. "Now put me down."

"Of course," Lucifer said. He lowered her with care, making sure her feet wound up right on the ground.

Wouldn't do to leave her laying down, after all.

No, it wouldn't. But Octavia ended up on her feet, standing tall for someone of her stature. Slipping right into her role.

"Now kneel."

Lucifer dropped to his knees slowly, but deliberately, as if he'd been wired to do so.

He kept his eyes on her face.

That never got old.

There was a sense of approval about the way she reached out with one hand, carding her fingers through his hair.

"Good Devil."

"As you wished," Lucifer murmured, watching her, perfectly still.

"You've been good these past couple of days," Octavia told him, her own head tilting just a little as her fingertips brushed down his temple. "Hasn't gone unnoticed."

"Thank you," Lucifer murmured, His eyes slid shut, finally, and he leaned ever so slightly into that touch.

Octavia's fingers traveled down his jaw, to his chin.

"But of course you'll still have to earn whatever rewards you might get tonight," she murmured, her voice low. "Keep your eyes closed."

Oh, he loved that tone of voice.

(Nevermind the gentle touch of her fingertips on his skin.)

"Of course," Lucifer breathed.

The touch lingered. For a moment, the length of time in which Octavia could watch his face and think about how much they didn't need a blindfold.

It was so much better when he just did it because he was told.

And then her hand fell away, and she stepped back. Turned.

She had things to get.

He had a hunch she did.

But Lucifer remained still on the floor. There were games where he pushed back, and games where he didn't; this felt like the latter.

(Even if he badly wanted to get out of his clothes.)

That time would come. But not yet.

There were the sounds of drawers opening, of fabric rustling quietly, of her feet against the floor.

She took her time.

And left his imagination to run wild. It had been two days, and, well.

Lucifer needed to make sure he properly remembered each curve of her body, the places her tattoos were etched into the skin. To picture the way she was moving about the room with all her certain efficiency...
