Lucifer's Mansion, Sunday Night

Not sleeping with Octavia for two days had seemed like a tolerable proposition after the initial suggestion of five entire days (oh lord). In practice, though, it was its own form of Hell.

So there had definitely been a bit of fumbling with the keys (and the take-out). And a bit of... rushing through the food part.

"We certainly ordered too much rice," he said, only halfway through his pad thai (sigh). "Who knew such a thing was possible."

Yeah, that rope was wrapping around his wrist.

"Don't make me call you a liar."

Loopholing, yes. Lying, no.

You know what, Octavia was going to make this one tight. Instead of replying.

(Not tight enough to hurt, but tight enough to be uncomfortable. Or at least that was what she was going for: it was an imperfect art.)

Lucifer let out a soft grunt. The fabric dug into his skin a bit; he wasn't used to feeling it this way when someone tied him up.

Did it hurt? Or was it just uncomfortable? Even he couldn't tell.

Octavia's eyes flicked up to his face, briefly.

But they had a safe word for a reason. She kept going, making sure her knots were solid.

She'd have to go much further than this to make him tap out.

The fabric pressed into his skin, and... kept pressing even as she moved on. Interesting. Lucifer let her do it, responding only with the odd exhale or grunt.

Octavia, ever meticulous, didn't rush through tying the rope to the headboard. Or through moving over to his other wrist.

She made damn sure he got tied up properly.

(Even though all this was an act. Even though it would take him no effort at all to bust free if he so chose.)

But he didn't. Choose to.

He was fascinated by what she was doing, his gaze trailing along her arms to her fingers. All that meticulous work, as precise as Duke could be sloppy.

Lucifer let out a soft, appreciative sigh without realizing it.

"Not much of a punishment if you start getting into it," Octavia drawled without looking up from the work.

One last knot.

"In that case all of this is a lost cause," Lucifer murmured, "Since I remain very into you."

"I know," Octavia replied, patting the last knot before looking up, "which is why it's so ironic how you can't seem to work your way to actually getting into me."

"You didn't seem in a particular hurry about that either way, what was I to do?"

Lucifer smirked merrily.

Oh, sure, now he was restrained and at her mercy, but, well. Poke the bear and all that.

Octavia didn't seem impressed. "Not take matters into your own hands --" Literally. "-- for one thing."

But she was moving back to all the things she'd dug up from the drawer, now.

Lucifer watched her move, head tilted, curious.

"Found anything good?"

"Found this."

She was holding up the toy he'd tossed in the basket at the store without looking at it. Looked like a pretty basic plug, honestly.

(If only because the remote control was hidden under her other things in the folds of the sheets, and the beads the remote would make rotate were hidden under the surface of the toy's neck.)

"I think you might need it. You're clearly desperate for some stimulation."

Lucifer tilted his head even further. No, he didn't quite recognize that. "Not quite the part of me that needs it the most," he said, "But I'm hardly in an position to argue."

He gave a demonstrative tug on the rope.

"And you haven't earned what you need the most," Octavia replied, dryly, but also distracted.

She hadn't actually taken a moment to admire her handiwork, yet. And it turned out he looked good all tied up.

He looked as relaxed as he could in this position. The ropes were tight enough Lucifer could feel them straining against him, keeping his arms in place. He was still together enough to manage a faintly smug smile, and his legs were sprawled all over the bed.

"Suppose you did do all the work earlier."

"Yeah, and you choose to waste every moment where you could score some points," Octavia rasped, shaking off her admiration in favor of picking up the lube.

And then she was shifting again, to put herself between his legs. "Come on. Legs up."

Lucifer considered asking her if there were points to be scored, but... he'd done enough antagonizing for now, hadn't he?

He fell silent, sliding towards her just a bit so he could raise his legs more fully. She did need access, didn't she?

She did.

Even if she spent a brief moment idly dragging her nails down one of his thighs, before popping the lube open.

"I'm not gonna bother with a ton of warm-up, here."

Mm, the threat a nail could imply.

"Promises," he sighed.

Octavia rolled her eyes at him.

And squeezed a generous amount of lube onto the toy.

Lucifer smiled at her.

The shape of his lips was still very unbothered, but he was watching her... very... closely.

Octavia wasn't looking at him.

... Octavia wasn't looking at his face. Well, not for longer than a glance, anyway. Right after she'd spread the lube all over the plug, and right before the tip of the toy pressed at his entrance.

There was going to be a balance to this. She was going to take it gentle and slow, but only just gentle and slow enough.
