Lucifer's Mansion, Sunday Night

Not sleeping with Octavia for two days had seemed like a tolerable proposition after the initial suggestion of five entire days (oh lord). In practice, though, it was its own form of Hell.

So there had definitely been a bit of fumbling with the keys (and the take-out). And a bit of... rushing through the food part.

"We certainly ordered too much rice," he said, only halfway through his pad thai (sigh). "Who knew such a thing was possible."

"Good," Lucifer said softly. "Because you make this one happy."

It sounded too gentle and teasing to be serious. For once.

"More than likely," Lucifer laughed.

Octavia, for all that she'd enjoyed her burrowing, needed to move a bit again.

Only so she could reach up and kiss him.

Understandable, frankly. He cupped her cheek again and kissed her firmly, pouring all of his affection into it.

They always needed this, on Sundays.

And probably didn't hurt most other days, either.

Octavia was putting a lot of affection in it, too. Warmth, and a soft sort of passion. They hadn't really properly kissed in this room since getting there, had they?

She was making up for that.

Lucifer slid his hand down her back and let himself fall into it. Fall into her.

A peace settled over him.

Octavia slowly looped her arm over his shoulder, then hooked her leg over his hip. Getting all intertwined.

This was easy.

"Getting all cosy, are we?" Lucifer asked softly.

"It's hard not to," Octavia murmured, with a tiny smile.

"Quite a difference from ten minutes ago," Lucifer teased. "Not that that won't be wank material later."

Octavia snorted.

... Okay, maybe it was kind of a chuckle. "Oh," she said, "did I do something worthy of being wank material?"

"Oh, you pleasuring yourself to orgasm while I sat there helpless, tied up to the bed is certainly going in the spank bank," Lucifer said merrily.

"Mmm," Octavia hummed, only a little bit exaggerated. "That was pretty good."

"I don't think that counts."

"Two parts torment, one part showing off..."

Octavia's smirk turned faintly sly.

"Can't comment, I was too busy getting off."

"Were you watching me much at all?" Lucifer asked. "Or were you as... inwardly focused as you seemed?"

Octavia tousled his hair, idly.

"I wasn't really watching you at all."

"Ah, damage a man's ego," Lucifer chuckled.

"Oh, no," Octavia murmured, stealing a little kiss. "You were still on my mind."

"I don't mean to keep pressing you," Lucifer said softly. "I'm just... curious, is all."

"I don't feel like I'm being pressed," Octavia told him in a tone much like his own, only a little more amused. "Feel free to ask whatever."

"I'm just making sure," Lucifer said easily. "I suppose I remain deeply curious about how you felt through all of it. What were you thinking about, when you were... minding yourself?"
